It's Gone!!!

Hey guys... Well, my gallbladder is officially gone now.... I spent most of Thursday in the emergency room, then had to be in the surgeons office at 930 a.m. on friday morning. They sent me straight on over to the hospital, and at about 630 last night, they finally got me in to the operating room. I had wanted to let my WLS surgeon take it out, but I couldn't make it that long. Oh well, its gone now, and other than the expected surgical pain, I am feeling pretty good. This surgeon took a look at my belly in his office and commented that he would try to use atleast some of my current incisions that my WLS surgeon had used, and he did... 2 previous sites, and one new one. And the best part... not stitches to rub on clothes. He uses the dermabond. I am taking some pretty good pain meds, so I think I will head on to bed now. I'll update in a few days Hugs, Susan

Tammy!! I'm having MINE taken out Tuesday at NE Ga as well!! I have to be there at 10:15! What time do you have to be there? My surgery is not until 11:45.... We are gonna pass in the hallway! LOL! Were you at Obesity Solutions Friday?? I was there at 1:30.. I saw someone leaving and wondered if it was someone on our board....

NOPERS!!! I am scheduled for surgery at 11:45. I'm told it should take 45 mins and then anywhere from 1.5 to 6.0 hours in recovery depending on how well I handle the anesthesia. (Have not had problems in the past, so hopefully, this will be no exception...) Love you gal...Thanks for asking about me...

hey Girl! I'm sorry to hear about that but, I am so glad that you are o.k. and everything went well. You take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing. I had mine out a few months ago, and I have felt so much better since, hope it's the same way for you. Love Ya! Rachel
