I am so lucky to have had gastric bypass...BUT
Hey everyone. How have ya been? Me? Well, had yet another surgery. Emergency. Had an obstructed bowel. Surgeon does say that he doesn't believe it is from gastric bypass but rather the hernia repair or gall bladder removal I had done. But then I wouldn't have had those if not for the GB. Please everyone don't misunderstand me. I am so grateful for the GB. I will forever be grateful for it. You have to understand I have had 4 abdominal surgeries in a year. I'm sick of it. This last time, if I had been a few more hours getting to the hospital there is no telling what would have happened. Thank you Jesus for looking over me. Please continue to do so, for you are the only way that I can make it. Believe when I say, I would make the same decision again. I guess I'm just venting. Please don't anyone get too angry with me. I'm wondering, is there anyone else on our boards here that has been through similar situations and are willing to share with me? I would be so grateful for some insight on how to deal with some of these emotions. I know that the past 2 surgeries I have been going immediately back to school. But I feel like I have no choice. When I say immediately I mean the day after being released from the hospital this week and then on the following Monday with the gallbladder. Ok, I'm finished whining. Thanks for all that took time to read this and please anyone that has words of wisdom to share, I'm all ears. Everyone take care.

OMGoodness! I had no idea Tonya. I am glad you got to the hospital in time. And I am so sorry that you have been through so much. I haven't had the experiences you have, but just wanted to let you know that I am always here when you need some on to talk to. You have my numbers and you know where I live.
HUgs,
Tonya
Thanks girl. Me and the kids are gonna have to come see ya'll again soon. They loved playing with Nick. I'm doing better now. And I thank goodness that you haven't had complications. I am gonna just rely on God to keep me off the surgery table again. Ya know, even with all the problems I would do this again. Who knows what shape I would be in now if I hadn't chosen the bypass? Hope to talk to you soon. Take care!!!

I am sorry to hear about your surgeries, maybe they are all in the past now for you. I hope mine is not just beginning, I had BS in 5/05 & have done well, not even sick the first time, but now my gallbladder has went bad & i have 5 gallstones. I am having surgery Tuesday morning to get it out. Maybe that will be the last for me to. Hope you are better soon.

Hugs girl! I havent talked to you in sooooooooo long!!! Sorry to hear about your additional surgeries. You know I went down that same road! I had my gallbladder out and an intestinal obstruction surgery 1 week apart back in September. I know exactly where you are coming from. I was ever so sick and weak, and like you I had to bounce back quickly for work and school. With all that said, I would have the WLS surgery again, there is no way I could have ever lost all the weight I have and had a real chance to keep it off! Sometimes life throws you a curve ball, but you just have to keep a good attitude and do the best you can. Everything is for a reason, though we might not understand. Hopefully one of the get togethers will be down towards Macon and we will get to meet each other one day!!! When do you finish school? I hopefully will be done mid-September.
Take care!!!
Hugs

It has been forever since we have talked. Seems that our health has taken similar paths. I had my gallbladder out in Dec., so there we differ. But I hope and pray that my surgeries are over until I decide to go for the TT. I hope that we get to meet really soon. It is unreal that we have not met yet. I have the rest of this year and then I can sit for boards in Jan. Email me sometime. Take care.

Tonya:
Sorry to hear of your surgeries but glad that you are doing better. I had my surgery in 03/05, anniversary is next week and I have to knock on wood, for I have not had any problems as I have read on this board. I am glad and surprised that my gall bladder has not given me any problems and I hope it continues to work like it should. I wouldn't know what to expect if I had gall bladder problem or an obstruction but from what I have read, it really hurts. I pray that this is all for you and I also pray that I don't experience this since I am a baby when it comes to pain. Don't like it, don't want it.
Anyway take care and good luck on your classes
Mary
