OT-TYLENOL / IBUPROFEN FOR CATS

Hi. I just wanted to share with you all something that I found out the hard way. Do NOT give your dogs or cats Tylenol, Motrin or Advil. It is toxic to both dogs and cats but can be fatal to cats. Oscar, my cat, was having trouble jumping up over the weekend and his hips seemed to be in pain so I gave him 2 doses of infant Motrin. He has been throwing up since Tuesday so I took him to the vet this morning and he is severely dehydrated and they are running tests to see how much if any damage has been done to his liver and kidneys. The vet told me if I had given him anymore then it would have been fatal! I had no idea how damaging this could be so I just wanted to share this with you in case you weren't aware. Please pass this on to anyone you know that has cats and/or dogs. Thanks.
