TUMMY TUCK/PLASTICS QUESTION
Hey ya'll, I was just wondering when should I start looking into my tummy tuck. I am 8 months post-op and have lost 100lbs., but do I need to wait an entire year, or until I get to goal, or does it take a lot of leg work like our surgery did and do I need to start working on it now? I have BC/BS and am hoping that they will cover some of the cost. Any information you have would be really appreciated-Tell me what to do?????? Thanks!! Rachel
Hey girl-
I just spoke to someone on here the other night about her experience with her tt. She gave me pointers as far as getting insurance approval. I'm at goal---( a bit past goal actually ) and am almost 9 months out so I'm getting all the information together for insurance before i go see Dr. Ashraf. Call me on my cell if you want me to pass the info along. (770-595-2684) Hugs. Lisa
I will tell you that typically most PS recommend that you be MORE than 18 months post op and that you've lost MORE than 100 lbs. They usually als want your weight stable for 6 months or more prior to doing plastics. I had BC/BS with my TT and didn't have to do much leg work - but I believe that my doctor really knws the ins and outs of getting insurance approval. (There is never a guaranteed approval though and she'll tell you this upfront.)
What I would start recommending you do is researching the PS you're comfortable with. While I would highly recommend my Dr. (Dr. Ashraf) but this is as personal a decision as the bariatric surgery was.
Let me know if there is anything I can to to help you through this process.....
Much
Dee Dee
