my recent 'wow' moments (kinda long)

Just wanted to let you know how things are going for me...for one, tax season is again kicking me in the B_ _ _!!! Hopefully, this will be my last one...I do so need a change!! If anyone knows of a firm needing a CPA after 4/15, please let me know (preferably in a corporate environment). Hopefully, when tax season is over with, I will be able to get to the monthly gatherings...I hated that I missed last night...sounds like ya'll had a great time!! On 2/9, went shopping with my niece (she is 21), and got some new clothes...went to Dillard's, pulled my usual size of pants to try on...my niece pulls the next size smaller, and you guessed it...they fit...size 12!!! I haven't seen a 12 in my closet since I was in college...that will be 30 years ago this coming May!!! On Valentine's Day, this one guy that I have been seeing called me from the airport and totally surprised me with the best Valentine's present there could ever be...he literally picked me up and carried me...I told him, 'honey, you can't pick me up...I am a fat chick', and he replied, 'baby, I hate to tell you this...but you are no longer a fat chick!! and I don't want to hear those words out of your mouth again!!' I don't know which of these two things are the best Valentine's present, but they are very close together...Mind you he is 6'3" and very athletic built, so he could carry me without any problem... Saving the best for last...I have lost right at 100 pounds since my highest weight...I never realized that when I had my surgery, that I would be this close to my goal weight at eight months out...I only have 20 more pounds to lose!!! That is it for now...but just wanted ya'll to know how well things are going for me!!! The best decision I ever made, was having my WLS!!! Norma

Thanks Maureen, It is so wonderful how my self-esteem has totally changed in the past eight months...I am doing things that I would never have done before I had the surgery...my only regret is that I did not have it sooner!!! Norma

Norma . I really missed you at the get together Saturaday night. I am glad to hear about you and your man So I guess it is past the one date night like we had talked about last month. Wow and congrads on the 100lb mark good for you. How exciting I hope you can make it to the March gathering. Please keep us updated...Beth
