Big Blows in one day

I need to vent....not only did my 1st appt. with Dr Duncan go badly, my BMI is too high and I would have to lose over 100 pounds before he would even consider me....They told me to see a Dr Burrorows. When I got home I called him and his nurse says they have no weight limit! Good news right!???? That same day I call my insurance who since yesterday has nothing but been helpful, finding me a covered doctor, telling me that I am covered for surgery, they pay 80%..ect. But as of Jan.1,06 the insurance policy DONT cover gastric bypass any longer...WTF!! Why can they get away with this without notifing us? I have United Health Care Choice Plus through Delta. Steph, I had the Mini Gastric Bypass surgery and have lost over 200 pounds. If you have never heard of it, go to CLOS.net to learn more. I just met a man last week at our MGB Atlanta area support meeting who has been approved by United Health Care. I believe whole-heartedly in this surgery and am so thankful that, after MUCH research about the various surgeries, I found CLOS! Let me know if I can be of help. Sandy
