My pouch does not like...........

Well, a new found dislike of my pouch, today I tried some tuna fish for supper, and guess what, it threw it back out. And I love tuna fish, I will try it again in a month, and if it rebels against tuna, I guess I will surrender to the mighty pouch and not ever have tuna again. This is truely a learning experenice, and it is amazing what likes and dislikes the pouch has, it is almost as if it has a mind of it's own. I have a baby spoon I use and only had 3 bites of the tuna, and that feeling is one you do not forget, I thought I wasn't going to make it to the nearest trash can in the kitchen than I ran to the bathroom and praised the porcelin god a few times. We are having snow up here and the roads are getting bad, and I have my 1 month check up tomorrow. But, if the roads are still bad I will have to make another appointment. Maybe the roads will be cleared off by 10am when I have to leave the house, if not I get on the phone and let them know that I can't make it because of the weather. Well, the mighty pouch is still letting me know it does NOT like tuna, with a little discomfort still there. Everyone do fine, and God bless each of you and your families. Hugs, Lynda

Hey Lynda I know the pouch is picky! I use to love Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup and now I get sick everytime I eat it, so I no longer eat it. Maybe that snow will start here soon too, sure is cold. Bundle up and Take Care! ~Rachel

don't give up on it so easily. You're fairly new at being a post op and quite often they need time to adjust to items that you could oncce consume quite well. I couldn't eat chicken for about 18 months - and pre-op I could eat it daily. I'm now back to where I can tolerate it in most ways - so give it time. Much Dee Dee 349/159/155 (still swolen from TT!)

Thanks for all the information, I guess I thought the pouch would still like it, and my Mom saw me barfing the trash in the kitchen and kinda freaked out a little. So I will give it some time and try and try again. God bless each of you and your families. And Sandra, where's the new photos, girl friend? Sandra is kind a my hero, she is doing so great. Hugs, Lynda

Your pouch is only saying just not right now. I could only eat for a while popcicles and mashed potatoes. Take it easy you will eat again.

HI, Lynda, It took a year for me to handle chicken, tuna, and eggs. Now, I have no problems. Don't give up...just pace your attempts sparingly. Hugs, Becky
