new to group

Hello everyone, I live in the Augusta area and would like to know if there are any groups that meet in the area. My doctor left one month after I had surgery (Nov 2004). I need some support and help on some issues that I am having. Thank you Michelle

Hi Michelle! I dont post much here, but have been using this site for research for about 2 years. I also live in the Augusta area. I am talking to a surgeon now and should be having surgery in Mid March. There are 2 meetings in the Augusta Area that I know of. One is held on Ft Gordon at the hospital in the Auditorium. These are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:00 PM. However, this month it will be held on the first Tuesday, since Valentines Day falls on the regularly scheduled meeting day. If you want to email me, I can send you a link for the Yahoo Email Group for that meeting. There is also a meeting in Grovetown at the Euchee Creek Library. It meets on Saturdays, but I am sorry I can not give you specifics. I am unable to attend those because of my schedule. Amy Williams, who is on this board also, heads up those meetings.
