Hospital Employees

My friend works for Grady and they do not cover WLS. She has great skills so she needs to change positions and go to work in another local hospital. What hospitals are covering WLS for it's employees? She is also thinking about having the surgery in Bogata, Columbia. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks, Rosalyn

Tell her to apply for a job at Atlanta Medical Center. They have United Healthcare that will cover WLS. Beverly

Emory will but not with Blue Cross, she should go with Aetna or another plan. If she is able to find another job and have the surgery locally, that would be a 100 times better than in Colombia. At least a doctor would be accessible if there were any post-op complications if she has it done in GA.

Piedmont also has United Healthcare that covers WLS.
