Lap-Band

I went to my first support meeting yesterday. It was WONDERFUL. The people were great. I cried. So much inpiration in one room. I was wondering if anyone around here had had the Lap-Band procedure. Please give me your input, ideas, thoughts, whatever on this procedure even if you haven't had it. I'm trying to make sure I cover all my options. I can do research and read articles, but I'd like to get thoughts from others who have walked the same road I'm walking. Thanks!!!!! and God Bless.

Hi! I'm 3 years out from my lapband this year, and I have been very pleased with it. It is definitely a life change, but I would do it again in a minute. Last year I had something unrelated medically happen that I had to have all my saline removed and I just got my restriction back this week (thank GOD). I am glad to be back with the program, because I now know for sure what it was doing to help me and how I did without it (I gained about 30 lbs in 10 months---arrrrgh). I'm a big supporter of both the band and gastric bypass. They are lifesaving procedures in many ways. I wish you lots of luck and success as you move through this new adventure.
