The Garden of Good and Evil...

and Bagger Vance ... and now Me ... I was offered, and accepted, an Area Field Managers position in Savannah Georgia.... got the call yesterday morning at work... 12 counties, responsible for all the U Haul dealers in those counties... not including the U Haul Centers, who have General Managers in charge of them... although they do assist the AFM's with support... A couple of emotions.... happy that I got an AFM job, and weirded out a little because .... I can't believe I have to move again!!! There are some serious advantages to this job VS the General Managers job that I trained for ..... No dealing with the public No set hours, i.e. freedom No dealing with the public Better pay No dealing with the public More "dirty work" i.e. fixing things.. I love fixing stuff No dealing with the public Can live anywhere in my Area No dealing with the public Can use some of that sales ability, i.e. signing up new dealers No dealing with the public Not tied to a Center answering phone calls all day No dealing with the public Oh my... my poor widdle bwain is gonna melt... I have never even BEEN to Savannah... Episode #27 of As The World of Marc Turns ... in this episode, he actually moves again... that'll make 4 times in 14 months... *sigh*

Congrats on the new job Marc.... However, I don't envy you in the 'has to move again' department. Make sure to wave as you come thru Macon! Hugs, Susan

Hi Marc, My husband and I moved to Savannah 4 years ago and we love it. I'm sure you will too. We also moved a lot when we first got here - 5 times in 26 mths, but thank goodness we're settled now. We love our jobs, love the area and we're staying put!! Let us know when you get to town. Do you like to fish? We'll help you get aclimated to the area if you want. And there is a bariatric center here now.... Sandy

Love to fish?... I am a fish! ... hehe... I was raised literally in the ocean... was diving when I was 8 years old... off my own boat! This will be my first experience with the east coast and the Atlantic... been in the Pacific all my life, then moved to GA.... my gills are starting to dry up, so a healthy dunking in some sal****er is just what I need! Thanks Becky.... The time line.... soon I find out more manana.... I know the guy I am replacing gave a 2 week notice, and supposedly this is a very "hot" area for Y'all Haul so they will want me there quickly...
