the Macon/Warner Robins, GA area that has experience with patients that have had wls. My husband and I are planning on trying for a baby in Feb 2007. That will be 18 months post op. I want to establish a physician before then (just in case I dont like him or her, I can find another one! lol). It took me almost a year to choose my surgeon, and I want to make sure I find a good physician for when we want to have a baby. Any and all suggestions are more than appreciated! Thanks! Kimberly

Hey Kimberly, I have a GREAT ob/gyn doc. I don't know if he is knowledgable in WLS patients but he is a wonderful, smart doctor. He's also got a great personality and he's not bad on the eyes either! His name is Chris Hendry. Phone number 478-405-8874. Address is 2410 Ingleside Ave, Macon. Let me know if you need anything else. And congratulations on planning for a baby! Barb

Hi--I am an OB nurse and have taken care of about a dozen moms post WLS in the past two years or so. They have all done great and had healthy babies--I asked them about nutrition and they said they kept some protein available all the time (almonds/cheese/yogurt etc). I don't recall anyone who gained too little weight in pregnancy and I don't reacll anyone gaining to much either! It seems like 20 lbs is the average for what I have seen, with some around 15-18 and some as much as 25 lbs. I just wanted to encourage you; take care of yourself, drink lots of water, and find a doc who is sensitive to your concerns!
