Reconstructive surgery

Well.. I was not sure if I was even gonna mess with a TT and Breast lift, but I found out on Thursday that I def need a hysterectomy. So my GYN called the PS, and they got me in right away for pics, etc to submit to the insurance. If (and that is a big if) I get approved, the GYN will do his thing and then turn it over to the Plastic Surgeon, all in the same day. I could use your prayers for a quick approval, and most of all for uneventful surgery or surgeries I am scared to death of the healing process. I think this one is gonna be more painful than the bypass

GOOD LUCK!!! Mine panni was more painful than the bypass(I had lap RNY) but less painful than my 14 inch scar open ulcer surgery. Actually, After a week of pain meds and laying around the house I started getting up and around, going shopping, went to the GA aquarium and I feel 96% back to normal and it hasn't been 2 weeks YAY! Love it! Anyhoo-most importantly is your hystorectomy. I hope it goes well! Is your gyn going to take it out of your vagina? I hear that's how a lot of people get it out these days.

Thanks for all your updates Keeps us "wanna-be's" in the know about what t expect. Glad you are up and about That is very encouraging GYN said something about it being very large and having to go through the stomach. I will get to ask more questions at my next consult. Hope to have more answers then about how he will be doing it, and how long the combined recovery will be. Any suggestions for questions is greatly appreciated. I did not ask alot on THursday. I think I was just in shock that I needed the surgery, and that he was so good to hook me up with the PS so quickly. I will keep everyone posted

Maureen, So sorry to hear that you have to have the hysterectomy and I do hope that all goes well with that...You be the judge about doing the TT at the same time, asks lots of questions to the Plastic Surgeon about the pain levels when doing two surgeries together.. Take care and may God bless you and keep you. Norma

Thanks for the prayers Norma I am going to start writing down some questions to ask so I am not such a dork Hopefully insurance will respond either way on the TT soon, so I can make some decisions. Let's try and get in touch to plan a meeting in April I am thinking ******* or Alpharetta might be a good central location

Good luck Maureen with your surgery! After the bypass, it's a walk-in-the-park! My prayers are with you! I'm in the same phase as you - I'm searching for a doctor in Athens or Atlanta for a breast reduction/TT - one that has incredible results. Can you or anyone else refer a name to me? I know of few people who have had breast work so I'm not sure who to listen to....Can you help? Judy
