I'M HAVING A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN

I just got a call from northside hospital saying that my insuracne isn't covering my STAY in the hospital.....that I have to bay $2900 BEFORE the procedure!!!!!!!!!!! I tried to call my insurance - but I *thought* it was covered by my insuance.....why would they not pay for the hospital stay? I'm just freaking out. I don't want to be this close and something happen and me not be able to go through with this!!!! Someone calm me down please.....I'm sitting here crying like a big old baby! Dee Dee

I'm just hoping that they will do the same thing my doctor has said they will do and that's bill my insurance first then bill me for the remainder. I also was under the imporssion from my insurance that I have a cap on my out of pocket expenses allowed per year of $1000 - which I've met $650. I know GOD will provide what is supposed to happen - and it's the only thought I have had to try and keep me any for of sane. Thank you for the support.....keep the prayers coming. You're having it done outpatient, right? There is technically no stay, just "23 hours of observance...did you call Ashraf's office and have them call your insurance?

They're closed for the holidays - at least when I had called they were already closed. Just what I need - something else to make me even more stressed.......I'll be on the horn with then FIRST THING Tuesday morning....you can bet your sweet a$$ on that! I've got the letter from insurance showing it's approved. When I had talked with Marilyn about it they said that everything gets billed to insurance - both their side AND the hospital - and which ever one gets theirs first is the one I pay the remainder of the cap on....and the other one just has to "suck it up".......but that I'm only supposed to be billed AFTER the procedure and not before! I thought all this was ALREADY straightened out. What does the Hospital know - they still had me down for having surgery on the 27th.....not the 29th like when it is scheduled!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh (think Charlie Brown Style!) Okay your surgery is tomorrow Dee and I am not checking my personal email so I will email you my work one. But did you ever get a reply about your insurance. FYI its a outpatient procedure so insurance will cover that. Dont let them freak you out by quoting you a inpatient stay okay. I am looking for a follow post to see what happened but I didnt see one so let us know will ya. its okay you will do fine. They need to know you are doing outpatient. Hell to be honest I have a few friends who had there TT with mucsle tightening and walked out 3 hrs later and didnt even stay the 23 hour observation time. So there you have it. Its also being done at the outpatient center right? not northside? That also makes a difference hope you have it all cleared up... NAT

I did get to talk to Roberta yesterday and she got it straightened out....I LOVE that woman!!! It is being covered by my insurance....she and Marian reassured me that I didn't have to worry about that.....
