Just a reminder that the December Gathering will be a Holiday themed gathering in McDonough, GA. We will have activities for the kids (cookie decorating, crafts, gifts) and a gift swap for the adults. Remember, the limit is around $10 and it is holiday themed. Make sure you bring a gift for everyone participating. We are also doing lunch pot-luck style. So, bring your favorite recipe and a recipe card if you want to share with everyone. Here are the details: Date: Saturday 12/3 Time: 1:30pm Place: Henry County Administration building. Here are directions: From I-75, take exit #218 and travel east (take a left if you are heading South; take a right if you are heading North).Turn right onto Old Industrial Blvd (McDonalds is on the corner). At the yield sign, turn right onto Industrial Blvd. After you pass the Fire Station (on the left), turn left onto Henry Parkway. The Administration Building is the 2nd building on the right. We will have someone letting you into the building and letting you know where to go. The only rule is no alcohol and no smoking. There is a place for smoking outside. The building will be open, but we will need to stay in our location as much as possible. There is a bar across the street on Industrial Blvd called the Double-D Tavern. Whomever is interested can head over there afterwards. I think they do country/top 40 and line dancing. I have never been there, but I know folks who have. I am very excited...Thank you again to Judy and Derrick for helping me with all of this. Oh, and if there are any of you who would like to volunteer to help clean up, we would be happy to have you. We need to leave the room like we found it, or they will charge me. Hope to see you there....

I'm replying to my own message....how sad. Just kidding...I forgot to ask something. If you could, please tell me one more time if you are planning on attending and how many will be coming with you. If children are coming, please let me know that and their ages. I know some of you already told me. Also, if you want to go ahead and share what you are bringing, that would be great. I think I'm bringing an altered version of squash casserole. I think most folks can eat it. It has almonds in it, but I'm going to put it on the side. I'll list the ingredients in case folks need to know. Thanks again!

I am planning on being there with my two children...ages 12 and 8...boy and girl. Not sure what I am bringing yet *lol* Do we need to bring a gift for the kids to exchange too or what is the verdict on that? Shree

I think if the kids are old enough and want to participate in our exchange, then yes. Otherwise, I'll have something for them. Nothing huge, but something. And, they will get something cute to take their cookies home in or whatever they make. I hope I have something that they will like to do. Does that sound o.k.? I"m glad you and your kids are coming.

I'm coming - looks like it's gonna be just me (Alone again....gosh I need a life!) my niece and nephew are going to their dad's - but it's still possible that one or both of them will stay on this side of town......it's all so complicated. I'm bringing my "Chili Paul" - it's a fantastic recipe has only 300 calories per sering and about 18g of protein. It's SOOOOO Good....but the way I cook I tend to alter the recipe until it tastes right so my recipe won't be "exactly" what is written on the instructions.... I've already bought most of the ingredients for the chili and I'm so looking forward to seeing every one! See you all soon! Dee Dee

I'm glad you are coming. If one or both end up staying here, bring them along.

Yes, marking the gifts is a good idea...we'll separate them on the table. I'm so glad you guys are coming.
