Aetna Insurance?

I currently have BCBS and they have discontinued coverage for WLS. My husband's company is changing insurance to Aetna. Does anyone know if they cover WLS? Jerri

It depends on whether or not his company had purchased a rider or not. You have to find out if their policy excludes WLS, similar to what happened with your BCBS. It just depends on the company the insurance is through. I just got approved with Aetna and will be having surgery next week !!! If you need any info on the requirements for Aetna, I can help you. What sort of Aetna policy do you have? We currently have an EPO, but we are trying to switch to something that allows WLS. Also, what sort of process did you have to go through to be approved?
