Survey...Protein?
I use "Ultra Whey 24" By Vitalab. I find it in the local Medicine Man shop and it taste good and disolves better that any other suppliment I have tried so far. As the name suggest it has 24 grams per serving. It comes in Choc. Van. and Strawberry. I put it in my coffee every morning and then focus on getting as much protien during each meal as I can. I wind up with about 50-60 grams per day. Hope the info helps--George
I never found any powdered protein mix that I liked-YUCK. So I buy the ready to drink EAS protein shakes, they come in choc and van and I can get them at BJs Wholesale. They have 15g or protein and I started drinking them about 3 months before my surgery. My husband who has not had WLS likes them too!
Stephanie if you plan to come to the October 22nd gathering, I could bring you one to sample if you want? I know how frustrating it is to spend money on trying things, then they turn out to be nasty tasting!

HEy Stephanie,
I am pre-op and I know your tastes are different after surgery but for now I love the Isopure zero carb creamy vanilla. I have LOTS of ways that I flavor it in my magic bullet. That way I don't have to buy a bunch of different kinds of protein. I also like it plain with 2% milk. GNC sells it and so does Susan Maria.

Hi,
I'm 10 months post-op and have tried alot of protein.....The one that I just LOVE is Unjury vanilla....I drink it 2 - 3 times a day in hood carb countdown 2% milk.
I get a www.unjury.com 4 containers a month, is shipped on the 17th of every month.

I can't say enough good words about Unjury. I mix the unflavored with yogurt for breakfast every morning, mix vanilla or chocolate with yogurt, fruit, and crushed ice and a little water every day for a protein shake, and also add the unflavored to Cream of Wheat and various soups. This protein is not gritty, and has a great taste. Even though I haven't had my surgery yet, I feel better than I have in several years. I'm praying that my taste buds won't change too much!

Thank you all for your input. I have tried the protein only smoothies at golds, and they are awful!!! and, just way too big. We had some unjury...and it was o.k. I think I just have to find the right combination to mix it with.
Thank you all again!!!! I'll let you know what ends up being a winner! I get about 40-50g with food most of the time.
