Long Time No Post
Hello Everyone,
Well here I am 3 months post-op and below 200lbs ( I am sitting at 195..just 40lbs from goal) I have been really good.. Still no real appetite, but that is ok. I did have a problem with the admin staff in the Emory Bariatrics office, emailed the surgeon and it was taken care of, apparently Emory as a whole has a terrible admin staff....kinda interesting in any other job a problem like that and they would be out of a job...or at least I know I would be...lol....I am going through clothes like crazy, I will get a pair of jeans and have to go back for another pair within two weeks...thank God for goodwill....Out of all the crazy things that have been going on this year, since I have basically made it my year for me, I went back to school, finally at 27 I decide to get a degree, boy is it tough didnt relize how long it has been since high school...
So what has every one been up to?
Take Care
Erica

Congratulations! You're doing great.
Going back to school at this stage is wonderful. You will probably find a number of "older" students, so don't feel out of place. What are you planning to study? I've been thinking about getting a Masters degree, but I'm so busy right now I'm not sure even an on-line program would work - lol!!
Keep us updated on your progress!!

Erica, you hang in there! Believe me, you're doing the right thing, going back to school. I started back at the age of 48, newly divorced and a grandmother. I had so little self-confidence that my daughter literally loaded me in her car and took me to the Admissions Office and helped me fill out the paperwork. Once I sat in that first class and saw that I was just as smart as all the young people around me, there was no stopping me. I learned to ask for what I needed - like having "new math" explained, etc. I got an Accounting degree and went on to some great jobs, owning my own condo, and best of all, making more money than my ex. Boy, that was sweet! You can do it, girl, I'm pulling for you.
