The good, the bad and the ugly....

The good....I've done really well on my eating today..... The bad - I called the PS office to see if they had heard anything from my insurance as it has been 6 weeks since my consultation....and I found out the she hasn't even completed the dictation from my visit much less even sent the request into my insurance!!!!! Now I have to wait 6 more weeks....but at least by that time I'll be more then the 18 month requirement post op! The ugly.... Went to TWO different dentists (the first one wasn't on my dental plan...) to find out that I have to have a freaking root canal! I'm thinking seriously about just having it extracted as my money is REALLY tight right now and there's NO WAY I can afford a root canal till after the beginning of the year....and I KNOW I won't live with the pain that long! HEY!! I'm having a root canal done on Friday, wanna join me?? The root canal itself should be covered for around 80% on your insurance...is it not? My major expense is the crown, but my doc's office will let me make payments... I can't believe they have not even submitted your insurance yet! ARGH!!! Congrats on doing well today! Luv ya! Tami

my insurance does cover 80% - plus my %50 deductible...and the cheaper quote I got today was actually from the dentist that was out of network! (It's still almost $1000 for my part alone!). The best thing is that the dentist in network wants me to go to an endodontist - but will be able to do the crown herself and allow me to make payments! I guess I'll figure something out..... Ah - the daily life of being an adult.....can I go back to being 8? Dee Dee
