More and more food??

Hey everyone! I went to the dr last Thursday and I was told that I am not getting in enough food. She wants me to start eating 6 to 8 MEALS a day. I am getting in 3 meals and 2 snacks, but she wants me to increase food at meals. I may eat about 2 to 4 oz 3 times a day and getting in around 600 calories a day. Which doesnt sound like much to most, but with me being 1 month out, I thought I was doing good. My energy has gotten better, sticking with chicken and pork. I havent tried fish yet and they told me to leave red meat alone for now. With having to increase my meals, when do I have time to drink??? lol I do not want to stretch my new pouch, but should I force myself to eat when I am not hungry? I am so cofused now, lol

Hi Kimberly I also went to dr d's office and they told me the same thing. my surgery was on 8/22 and i've lost about 30lbs. they couldnt give me any advice so what i did is split all three of my meals, i eat and about an hour later i eat again and thats with all of my meals. i hate doing that and its hard when your eating and drinking all day but its the best solution so far for me. maybe you can try this technique. let me know what you come up with ok. by the way ive had fish and shrimp and did well with both Bridgette

I just can't find the time to drink now b/c I am always eating, lol About how many oz's are you eating each meal? I have had shrimp, but scared to eat fish. Tonight I ate some chicken and asparagus and it did pretty good. Congrats on the weightloss! It feels great to loose weight doesn't it? Keep up the good work and thanks for responding.

hi, Kim... My Surgeon absolutely insists that his patients have 3 meals a day only and no snacking at all... so go figure... how are you doing?, hugs, Rita

Hey sweet lady! I am doing better now. I was very weak for a while. Its b/c I wasnt getting enough protein in. So now I am eating more like I should be, but having a hard time getting in the fluids. I am just doing it by trial and error! lol I have decided not to force myself to eat. Thats what help get me the way I was before. I am going to eat my 3 meals, just increase my intake. Plus my 2 snacks, maybe make it 3, lol I think I was so worried before about over doing it that I wasnt even getting in the required amounts. Everyday I get stronger and have more energy. I am getting in my vitamins so thats a good thing. And I have only gotten sick (dumped) once. I really DO NOT want to go there again! lol How are you doing? Hugs!
