Ladies ONLY Please.......

I am 3 days post op and I have come down with a yeast infection...I know...yuk.. I always get one when I am on antibotics. What can I use? I always get the Monistat, but can I do the insertions? I am so embarassed to even bring this up on the board, but with the holiday weekend, wasn't sure who to call. I knew you great ladies might be able to help. Thanks.

Monistat is OK to use. Also continually sip on your liquids as ordered by your physician. If the yeast infection is not better by Tuesday with the Monistat, please call your physician for additional medications. Carolyn

Hey, I had one too...a raging one. I did the monistat 3, but I think I needed 7...it is still not cleared up. I also had thrush. I ate lots of yogurt. Yogurt and water are good for the yeast infection too. Hang in there...it will get better.

Hey there, I know what you mean. Azo (yes the one that does UTI Home remedy) now also does yeast infection home remedy as well. Might have to look a little for it but really good.

Kim, I've had one too 3 days post-op...I didn't think that Monistat would be an issue... and it took care of it....It sure is uncomfortable but atleast it's nothing to worry about.....how are you doing overall? take care, Rita

Hey sweet lady! I am doing good so far. Think I kinda overdid myself yesterday. I went to Walmart to pick up a few things. Was getting tired of drinking the same things over and over again! Since surgery I have lost 16.5 pounds. Since my husband has seen me last, I have lost 21 pounds! I have decided not to send him pictures of me. I want him to be surprised when he comes home! Kimberly, A day later perhaps and if you have not already used the monistat cream buy the 1-day Monistat treatment. Drink lots of cranberry juice. The cranberry juice will help the yeast infection clear up. You are not alone with this problem. We woment know what it feels like and how miserable we are when it happens. I would love to drink cranberry juice but I cant stand the taste of it. It really makes me sick, UNLESS its in a mixed alcoholic drink, lol Cant do that right now, lol I got some monistat and it seems to be getting better. Just glad I am laid up at home during this time! lol Take care!
