Very Curious!!

Hi everyone in Georgia!! I would like any information on how Georgia Medicaid/Better Health insurance works out for people wanting to have WLS. Do they approve? What is criteria for approval? Do they help pay for tummy tuck after 100 lbs comes off? Just curious. Any information or personal stories would be so much appreciated. Thank you and God bless. -Vali

I have medcaid have to a 100lbs. over have 3 major illnesses high blood, sleep apnea, sugar diet history. I did'nt have any problems getting approved.. I hope this helps

Hi, Deborah ! Thank you so much for responding. Over here in Massachusetts Medicaid/MassHealth/HealtNet will only pay for surgery if you have been enrolled consecutively for 6 months in weight loss program, loose some weight, have nutrition and Psych evals, and neccesarry medical workups before being approved. Are you near Atlanta? My mami and aunt live in Perry, GA. It is really nice over there. If I moved over there I won't know what type of insurance I will immediately have so I might end up on Medicaid first (since I have diabetes) so I just wanted to know my options. Again thanks.
