Hi Y'all, I'm Patty, just wanted to say hi. I'm still looking for a surgeon. Anyone have any inside info on Drs Bagnato (Albany) or Kent (Brunswick)? The lapband is what I've decided on. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks Patty P.S. Any truckers here?

Hi Patty! I've heard some good things about the lap band initially, just not sure about the success rate in the long run. The lap band controls how much you can put in your stomach but not what you eat so you really must be diligent about controlling WHAT you eat. Making good food choices has never been one of my strongest suits! Best of luck on your journey! Barb

Hi Patty, I know that Dr Kent and Dr. Henderson in Brunswick are having a meeting called The Truth About Weight Loss Surgery, this Saturday June 18 at 11:00 am, SGHS- Brunswick Campus. Need to RSVP to our office 264-9724 in order to reserve a spot.This is a public information meeting and is the first step in their program. I run the Brunswick support group and deal with these two surgeons all the time. Dr. Henderson did my open RNY. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have surgery. They both do the lap-band procedure. We are having a support group meeting on June 20th. Would love to have you come. They also have a web site at wlsatgoldenisles. Hope this helps. Hi Patty, I live near Brunswick where Dr.Kent and Dr.Henderson are .From what i have seen and heard they are really good Surgeans, the only reason i didn't use them is because they wouldn't take my insurance,if that helps any.
