Do I have to have a psy. when using Georgia Medicaid

Call your insurance company, most REQUIRE them. My doctor requires it whether or not you self-pay or do insurance. Wouldn't hurt to get one.

Hello, I dont think it matters what insurance you will be using to pay for your surgery..I think it is a requirement by MOST doctors that you have a psychological exam to be sure you are of sound mind before you go through with the surgery...

Melissa, They do require a phys. eval. I was told of the requirements .and was given a list what medicaid needs if you need that info just let me know. Also I was told medicaid does not pay for your nutri. eval or your phys. However I found a phys who accepts medicaid. Also I only had to pay 85.00 for my nutr. ...Good Luck and let me know......Beth
