So many thanks to all who wrote me notes on my support page; they meant so very much to me. I am happy to say that I am now on the loosing side ! I came home yesterday. I'm blessed to have had the love and support of my family and friends. I still feel a bit alone though..is this normal ? What to eat, don't eat too much , don't overfill the new tummy. So many uncertainties at this point. The morphine pump at the hospital was wonderful .. it almost made me think this was a walk in the park Time to get in some fluids . Until later , I wish everybody a wonderful day Cheers , Janet

hey janet, welcome to the losing side! as for the alone thing, i still feel alone. this surgery is much more mental than physical i think. anywhoooo the eating thing, we had different drs and they all say different things, mine said liquids only for the first week. like sf popsicles, broth, yogurt, sf pudding, water, crystal lite, i did sneek some cottage cheese but i chewed untill it was disgusting. did he give you a booklet or anything to go by? i do believe after the first week you can have full liquids like scrambled eggs and stuff like that. oh, dont forget about the lovely protein drinks also LOL hang in there girl it gets better! jerri

Hey, Janet, Where you are now was the scariest and loneliest time for me. It does get better. When you are able: Soup on(at?) Hand by Campbell's and mashed potatoes were good choices for me. Hugs and Welcome Home! Becky

My favorite was Campbells tomato soup - lord that was a lifesaver for me! It would take 3 or 4 meals to get in one can tho! heh.
