Glad God has a sense of humor!
hey ya'll! Well, the funeral was beautiful. Mama was buried on Good Friday. Cool!!! During this solemn occasion, the Lord gave us quite a few laughs. I;m getting over another bug, so I defintely have a "rudolph" look. I very politely asked the very nice funeral parlor man, Mr. Wages, if he had any make-up that I could borrow for my nose. I tried to fix it with lotion, and only made it glow. In front of all of my hubby's family, he replied, "Honey, we've got some good make-up, but we can't perform any miracles." This one will be quoted at my funeral!!! Finally, I'm thinking that the digital camera may not be sooooo evil anymore...long story...won't repeat...involves a deer. Everyone except immediate family had left the viewing room, and, let me tell you, Mama Cain looked great! Well, DH asked MIL if she would like for him to take a picture of our dearly departed. I was very embarrassed since this was definitely not necessarily proper. DH snaps the photo, then while trying to turn off the camera, he "flashes" his crotch area. Someone said, "Well, Gregg, you must be proud." Without thinking, I responded "I am, but this is not the time." Even my precious MIL had to laugh. Mama Cain laughed all of the time, so it was fitting. I know she was pleased. She would have probably smacked Gregg on the arm though.
Why did I share this? Dear Lord, I'm turning into my mother!
Happy Easter Ya'll. He is risen! Hallelujah!!!
Love,
Becky
Becky,
You have put such a smile on my face this very busy Saturday...I have about 4 dozen eggs to color with my boys, wonder how much color will actually get on the eggs? I am doing laundry and going through closets, putting the winter clothes to the back and bringing out the short sleeves.
Again, I am so sorry for you and your family's loss, but it sounds like she had a long happy life, and sometmes when there is a death, after such a long happy life, it just doesn't seem quite as sad...Even though she will be missed, It sounds like you all found peace and even laughter. I think that, that is wonderful.
I hope that you have a wonderful holiday, and get to feeling better!
Cathy
Girl, I am bursting at the sides laffing with you!!

I love that even during a difficult time you are able to find a way to smile through the pain. It takes a special person to do that, and you are MOST DEFINITELY a special person.
I'm so blessed to be able to call you a friend.
My thoughts are with your family.
Tami
