10days, and -20lbs!
Went to see my surgeon today for the first time since I was release. He said that I looked great and was doing well. My scar is healing very good and it's very thin. Amy is jealous because her scar is much wider, but they didn't use a binder on hers so I think that's why it's separated more. I have to wear this thing for 2 months. He said that the bacteria is probably gone because my bathroom episodes are nothing like they were. I was going 30+ times a day! My poor you know what was very sore. The great news is that I've lost 20 pounds in 10 days! What a great start. I'm excited about that. I've had no problems asides from the C. difficule and cellulitis from the IV sites, which are being managed with meds. I'm having no problems with food going down. I'm loving my SF pudding. I get mean when we run out I enjoy the mash potatoes too. I have had some bouts of hunger, only because I was taking it slow with eating and didn't really get to that full point. It's been a great help to have Amy here to let me know she felt that way or this worked for her. It's been a blessing that she got her surgery to help me as much as she has, other wise I don't know what I would have done.
Amy is not feeling good. She ended up going to our PCP this morning because her neck area is very swollen and sore. Her tongue is swollen too. They tested her for strep and that came back negative. Our PCP said she things it's just a viral infection, but wants her to watch it closely for any more swelling in the throat. She said that Mono is going around and wants to make sure it's not that, but at this point doesn't think that's what she's got.
