I'm new...

Hey Ladies.. (and any gents that might be on..) My name is Barbie, and I just moved to Atlanta in January. I'm 14 months out from my surgery and to date have lost 120ish pounds (depending onthe day...) I have been one of the lucky ones and not had one oodle of problems! I've lingered on the boards for awhile, but I decided it was time to say hello. I also have a question for you gals... I need to find a primary care physician in the Atlanta area that is sensitive to our unique needs. If you know of anyone, please recommend him/her to me. I'd really appreciate it. Also - I have moved my profile from FL to GA (my former residence). Since I just moved here, I am looking for a permanent job here. I am in Human Resources, but not recruiting. I am a Director level. let me be one of the first to say welcome!! I wish I could help you with the job thing but at this point im disabled. My surgery is in april and cant wait to be on the losing side. anyway....glad to have you here and good luck with finding a job. god bless Patty

Hi Barbie! Welcome to Atlanta! I dont really know a PCP to recommend. I work at Emory University and they are usually some HR jobs posted, check out the web emory.edu under employment. The update the board daily so you have to keep checking it. You should try to attend one of our GA Board dinners if you can to get to know some of us! Kelly S

Welcome, Barbie. This is a great group! Welcome to the message board and welcome to Atlanta. I live on the southside of town, so I don't think I can help with a PCP or a job. If I see something I'll let you guys know. For those of you on my side of town, Dr. Wyatt with Eagle's Landing Family Practice is wonderful!!! He is so supportive and in no way fat phobic.
