Well, Monday is my big day. I am quickly getting more nervous as the hours pass by. It seems I have so many things to do, but there just aren't enough hours in the day to get them done! My friends at work have shown great support and keep telling me I'll be a great "loser", so that really helped pump me up...not that I wasn't already! I hope and pray I come through the surgery with no complications...I know everyone hopes for that when they go under the knife! I would like to give thanks to my Angel, Trish She gave me her Bari Bear to hold post-op. Bari Bear is very cute, and just like a child with a teddy bear, I was instantly comforted by the bear's presence. I'm such a goober! Hope you all have a great weekend! I'll be a loser, instead of a lurker , soon! Thanks for listening!

Congrats, Ginger! I'm a 1 year post-op from Florida, but I'm up here in Atlanta with my Dad for some surgery. I'll have lots of free time on my hands while I'm here and thought I'd like to visit some new post-ops while I'm here, if possible. If you'd be interested in a visitor the day after your surgery, let me know the hospital and the name you'll be checked in under and try to come by. Get your questions ready! Best of luck! hang in there girl! my surgery was this past monday. it honestly was a breeze! the before hand is the most scarey cause you don't know what to expect. mine was get at the hospital at 530, wait till they call you, go to a little holding room, pee in a cup. get an iv.(did not hurt they put numbing stuff on before) then wait. i waited about 20 min. then they rolled me to the surgery waiting room for patients. the med dr told me he was going to make me happy, (thank God) and the nurse for the surgery room introduced herself. then they wheeled me to the OR. i remember being in the surgery room and thinking the lights were beautiful (lol) then the next thing i remember is waking up in the recovery begging for a drink. savor those ice chips. once you get to your room tell them you want to walk so they will take your cath out. then its all good from there! hope i helped you out a little. not scarey at all. i will be saying one for ya! jerri
