D'Lynn, Waiting to hear from you as to what all took place today and how things went at Dr. Harts office? Patrice

Hey Patrice, All went well. There was 4 of us who were there for pre-op but our dates are different. It is kind of like the first information session we went to when we first saw Dr Hart, but it was with Amanda instead. She talked briefly about diet, and what to expect with time of surgery and other things. She gives you this nice folder and tells you where to go and gives you your appts for pre-op testing as well as your 1st post op appt with Dr Hart the Thursday after your surgery. I have to be at the hospital at 845am, but then I went to the hospital and found out my surgery is scheduled for around 1245 or so. I still have to be there early, but will have to starve most of the day. YOu have to do a prep the day before surgery to clean out the bowels, but I cant tell you how that is going to be until Monday night or Tuesday. When I went to the hospital, I only had to have one lab test for a type and crossmatch of blood type since my labs were not so far away. You and Michelle on the other hand may have to have a few more repeated depending on what the anesthesia wants. As for money, I had to pay 500 down for what I will owe at the hospital, and 255 for the anesthesia...joy...good thing I got paid this week. They are holding the chec****il I have the surgery in case something happens and I dont have the surgery, but chances unless I die, I will be there. No surprises this visit except the money for anesthesia, wasnt expecting that one. I will be admitted to the same day surgery that day, but Mike will go and stay in the room I will be at...that is a plus so he wont have to sit in the waiting room all day. Dont know anything else except I am so excited, just trying to get my stuff done for work and home before I go. Spent 153.00 at walmart for stuff to have before I came home. Oh you get your prescription for pain medication a head of time to get it filled because sometimes they have to order it in liquid form. Waiting for the losing side..... D'Lynn

Hey--so glad to hear it went well!!!! I'm ready to see you thru this on Tues!! My in-laws are here until Mon. morning-so I'm stuck sneaking around on the board until then. They still have no clue I'm waiting for surgery approval...mums the word around my house until they leave. I'm on pins and needles thinking I will slip up and say something. Email me a phone number where I can reach you Mon afternoon/evening, if you will. I want to touch base with you about where to meet Mike at the hospital. I realize you may be 'indisposed' with bowel prep---but maybe Mike can fill me in. I'm thinking of you all the time...can't wait for this to be over and you to be a 'loser'!!!!
