Getting the SCOPE!
Hey everyone!
I am still in the process of getting everything in order for approval. I have done the dietian thing and going for my psy evaluation on the 30th. I went to see my PCP yesterday for a follow up on the acid reflux. I never really knew what that was until here recently. I have had problems for several years now and its gotten worse lately. Dr. put me on Prevacid. It took the burning sensation in my throat away, but I still have really bad ingestion and always feel like I am about to get sick everytime I eat. So he is sending to get scoped to see whats going on. Since I have had this problem for so long, he is afraid I might have some real damage. We wll see what happens. He is also concerned about the gallbladder. I know alot of doctors go ahead and take the gallbladder out when they do the bypass. But in order to do that, will it have to be an open or can it be done lap?
Word of advice to everyone...if you are having a health problem, no matter how small it may seem, go get it checked out. I think alot of my problem is that I waited to long before I sought any help. I always put going to the doctor on the back burner. Mostly b/c of work. Now, if I do not feel right or something isnt right, I am calling my doctor.
Please pray its nothing serious. I want to be in good shape before the surgery.

Good luck with your scope. I just went through that last week. Glad to say that is behind me now. They did find h-pylori in my stomach and I am now on a regimine of anit-biotics for 2 weeks. Will keep my fingers crossed that your scope will be sucessful and that this will be the last hoop you have to jump through before your paperwork is submitted to the insurance company.

No problem at all. It's amazing what they can do lapriscopically.
