March Meeting

Hi All, Well, I was going to do the meeting for March until the place I had lined up has been sold and they are going to be remodeling it. So, someone else can have March. I will have to wait until this place gets redone and then try again. Hugs to all, Debra =^..^=

Debra, I hate to hear that your plans were "remodeled". We will postpone our event in your neck of the woods until the place is ready. So gang, (help the brain dead) October was at DB's - Kay K3 hosted November was at Joe's Crab Shack - Tami/Modean hosted December was at VFW and Kay 3 hosted January was after convention and Dee Dee hosted February was in Macon and Tonya L and myself hosted Who wouldn't mind finding us a place to gather and fellowship. We could go NE towards Augusta in the ATL area or go South Atl around McDonough, NW towards Carolton or Just plain north like Marietta. OR How about anywhere!!! There are 4 Sat's in March. Mar 5th I think is too soon Mar 12 Mar 19 (2 days after St. Patrick's Day and day before Palm Sunday) Mar 26 - not good as the next day is Easter. So Mar 12th anyone? anywhere? Lynn

It would be great to see the next gathering in or around the Athens area. Mind you, I am not promising anything, and I don't know if I could handle the arrangements alone, but I would try to do what I can in finding just the right place. Since we are only less than a week away from the first of March, the time constraint may be a bit tight to get this arranged for next month. If that happens to be so, at least the researching will be helpful for future months' gatherings. I will need to know about a few things, though....since I have yet to attend one of the gatherings: 1. How many people are usually in attendance? 2. What type of places do you all usually look for, i.e. restaurants or restaurant/bars or otherwise? 3. Do you look for places in certain price ranges, or with certain menu entrees? 4. What kinds of questions do you ask when calling places? 5. Any other things that are needed in preparaton of the event (itemized list would help)? I can help with something near Athens. I live about 30 miles away. I haven't been to one either, but they sound like so much fun!! I am having my sleep study done the 12th, but would be willing to help set it up and stay until I have to go to the hospital. There are tons of places that would be great! Susan

I forgot to add...for those that are not familiar with Athens, it is 60 miles NE of Atlanta, and the home of UGA. I am a real "dummy" when it comes to directions, and naming what main routes are near here. However, I can get that information from my husband as he is a native here (I am only a "transplant") and he knows this area blindolded!

I can't come on the 12th.....I have other plans already.....and honestly I can't come any weekends in March....I also will probably have a rough time coming to April's as well.....Getting ready for this exam is gonna kill me!!!!! Oh well......I'll see you guys when I can!

I will be in Asheville on the 12th, and my best friend's birthday is the 19th, so it looks like I'll be missing yet another meeting Can someone from the ATL area possibly meet me somewhere before then so I can give some clothes for the clothing exchange? Anyone in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area? Kelle
