What I've learned in one week
Well, tomorrow will be one week out for me. Here is some stuff I have learned:
Protein shakes are barely tolerable, some are really vomitous!
For some reason my breath is HORRIBLE! I mean really bad! I have never had bad breath like this - as if something died in me - I sent out my hubby to buy lots of sugar free gum and breath mints so I do not make people faint when I go back to college next week.
Gas builds up fast in me (and I never really had any gas problem before). I usually rock from side to side while sitting upright after meals and anytime I am feeling that full feeling - I have never belched so much in my LIFE. I have been told that you get lots of gas but all mine comes UP instead of down ....
I cannot understand how in the world post op folks are supposed to get in all tha****er and protein.
Tomato soup is the best stuff I have ever eaten, I swear.
Don't sleep on the side where the drain tube comes out - you will leak all over your clothes and the bed
Having a support group to attend is awesome.
Water still tastes good to me (thank GOD I was so afraid I would not be able to drink it plain)
And the best for last: I have avoided the scale but today I got curious and I have lost 22 lbs in 6 days!~ I am so amazed!
