News from the nutritionist
Well, I went to see a nutritionist today for the first time since I was going through all the hoops to be approved for surgery. Luckily I found a really great lady who is very easy going and nice. I found out first of all that I am down to 350....that's a loss of 138 pounds since surgery last July. I was really happy about that. I've been waiting to get to 350!
I also found out that I'm not eating enough calories. She actually gave me these Skippy peanut butter/chocolate thingies to have as a snack. She also told me she doesn't have a problem with the amount of regular soda I'm drinking, which when I sat down to figure it out, is actually only about one can's worth a day.
She told me to start snacking in the afternoon and gave me some good suggestions. She also wants me to up my fiber by taking 2 tablespoons of flax seeds a day, increase my water intake, and add one minute of exercise every week to my treadmill time. She gave me the number of a personal trainer who is a client of hers who is supposed to be incredibly nice and motivational.
So, things are looking up and I can stop being so hard on myself. Whew, I guess all I needed was a professional's opinion!
Kelle
Kelle,
Great Job! You must feel like a new person too! I have lost a little over a hundred pounds and I feel like a new person. I think I have more fun dressing up now because I don't look like a heffer. LMFAO. Any how, keep trucking and hopefully we will get to see a new Kelle at an upcoming party. Talk to you soon.
