Dr. Macik performed my surgery on 5/12/03. I love this man to my core, and I'm so blessed that he is my surgeon. I had no complications, no healing problems, and great weight loss. His technical expertise is tops. He's done well over 1000 operations, and could probably operate in his sleep. Ask him about his current mortality rates. When he did my surgery, he had already done over 800 with only 1 death post op. Damn good odds! I was in the hospital with Pancreatitis from the night before the ice storm until late last week. I called his office to let them know what room I was in (at Northside) at what was going on with me. That night, he came to see me, (without being called in for consultation.) He read my chart, and added notes to it that I should be given only sugar free (they were feeding me sugar) and also ordered a Vitamin IV drip, because I couldn't have any food or vitamins by mouth. He didn't charge for his services, and did all of this for me, because he truly cares about the health and well being of all his patients. You cannot go wrong with Dr. Macik. Dr. Hart would be my second choice, but not even a close second. Feel free to email me if you want more information.

Hello Mary. I had my surgery done 3 weeks ago by Dr. Macik. He also did my Gallbladder surgery a few years ago. He is a very good surgeon. It is kind of quite but is also very patient and will answer any questions you have. His nurse, Kerry, is great too. Any questions you have pre op or post you can call her. I know he does surgery out of NorthSide and Dunwoody Emory. I had mine done at Northside but wish I had listen to everyone else and gone to Dunwoody Emory. Northside is really busy and noisy. I hear that Dunwoody Emory has it's own Bariatric wing and all the rooms are private and have the bariatric beds. The nurses are all bariatric nurses so they know what's going on. They have free parking and plenty of it for your family and friends. If I was you and you choose Dr. Macik then I would to there. I have never heard of Dr. Lin so I can not help you there. Best of luck to you! ~Bonnie
