Hi Laura, I'm so sorry to hear you are sick with the flu and not feeling well. Bless your heart! Are you able to still get in your daily amounts of water and protein? I was told pre-op that getting lots of protein in on a daily basis would help prepare the body for healing after the surgery. So, it would seem logical to me that pumping in the protein (if you can handle it without getting nauseous) would help to strengthen you right now and speed your recovery from the flu along. Just a thought. My husband and I get flu shots every year before winter sets in good. This year, due to the shortage, we didn't get ours until the day before my surgery, and I was soooo glad I was able to do so. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers for a swift recovery in hopes that you soon feel 100%, again. God bless you! Pat

Laura, I broke down and bought the thera-flu strips that dissolve in your mouth and the medicine is homeopathic and I feel better in 24 hours after only 2 strips. But, YES, the flu or cold sucks after surgery. Good luck! Holly

I must be lucky... (knocking on my desk made of wood!).... I have not yet been sick except for the kidney stone... I am better about washing my hands and using hand sanatizer and lysol.... Cause I don't want the yuckies.... Hope you feel better soon! Connie
