Cascade Stomach

I was so happy to finally have all my paperwork in, when Dr. Scarborough's nurse called and said my Upper GI report mentioned a "cascade stomach", and he would have to see the actual xrays. I hand-carried them to Atlanta, but she couldn't say whether they would prevent my surgery. I am a nervous wreck, wondering whether this will be an insurmountable problem. This has been such a long, drawn-out process that I think I will curl up and die if it's derailed at this point. Any input will be greatly appreciated!

I've never heard of that. Don't know much to tell you, but I hope it doesnt prevent things. Best Wishes. Jamie

wow, Becky, doesn't that sound weird? I looked at the xrays, myself, and couldn't tell heads nor tails about them. I wonder if this is the reason that I've never been able to eat a whole meal, but an hour or so later am starving - hence a lot of snacking on unhealthy foods. Even my sister and son, who are both RNs, hadn't heard of this. Boy, I hope this won't hinder my surgery! Thanks, again, for the info. Barb
