Hello everyone, I want to say thank you to everyone who's posted their best wishes for me. It means so much! Today I'm doing the water thing Allllllllllllll day. Tomorrow I check in at 8:00am. So far (and I can't believe this) I am not at all nervous. I'm feeling very calm and at ease (however over the next few hours this could easily change lol). Any last minute advice? Anything I should take with me? Anything I should expect? I hope to be back home by Wednesday (fingers crossed).....I would love your prayers. Thanks. Kelly

Hi Kelly! I'm pre-op--so unfortunately I can't offer advice on what to take--haven't been thru it myself. I can offer my prayers and wish you the best of luck, though. I find such strength when I know others are praying for me-and hope you find the same. PLEASE let us know when you're home-and how it went. I'll be thinking of you!!!! HUGS-- Michelle

First let me say what a Fabulous name you have! I wish you good luck with your upcoming surgery. Mine is on the 16th, so we will be going on this journey about the same time. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Though I am pre-op, I consistently see on the boards to take chapstick and warm socks and something comfortable to go home in. Will someone be posting your surgery update? Keep us posted. Hugs Kelly S

Hi, Kelly, Sounds like you are READY!!!! Besides your basic toiletries, you will need chapstick, something to hold your hair back, thick socks, and slippers. A robe might be a good idea for this time of year. I also highly recommend body spla**** works as air freshener or as a pick me up for when you are feeling yucky. You may want to take some loose fitting clothes for going home. I wore my pjs home. Because my birthday was the day after surgery, I had received some darling pjs and gowns, but stayed in the hospital gown since I could not get anything over the IV. PJs with a top that buttons/fastens in the front might work. There are definite benefits to wearing the hospital gowns. The nurses can get to you better, you will not ruin anything in your wardrobe, and you will have less laundry when you get home. I wore my new stuff at home for the next few weeks...makes you feel better to look good. You ARE in my prayers! Hugs, Becky
