Little Update

Last Thursday they denied my hubby for surgery. They wanted quite a few things in addition to what we've already given them. Including pulmonary clearance, another letter from the therapist and our PCP, plus a written 3 year dieting history. Should have seen the look on our surgeon's secretaries face when we showed up a week later with everything in hand. It took lots of calling and calling for all this to come about, but with persistence it's done in a week and was submitted yesterday. We got the letter yesterday explaining about what was missing, they didn't call it a denial per say, they said non-certification. It's pretty crazy to me that he was denied, his letters from all the doctors had much more info than mine and a lot stronger. I guess it just depends on the one reviewing it. The good news is on appeals someone else will be looking it over that's not had part in the first submission. Please keep Kenneth in your good thoughts. Will let you know when I hear anything. Amy

How frustrating Amy!! I will CERTAINLY keep you and Kenneth in my thoughts. How in the world can they deny when it is so obvious how wonderful this is for us! It's always beyond me...it's almost as if it's a power trip for that person. I certainly hope this gets approved soon and Kenneth is allowed to begin his journey towards recovery and health. -Tami God Bless You Both!
