Becky is ranting! Warning - Long
Hi Becky! RANT ON, GIRL! ha! You can rant and rave here all you want-I would be ranting, too! I just HATE when the Dr's office ignores a phone call--or multiple phone calls!! Surely they know we have better things to do than stand around dialing their number!
Think of it this way--IF you do pass out in class, you'll be the talk at 20-something dinner tables that night! That memory would forever be inbedded into those little kiddos heads-and they'd forever say to one another "Remember the day when Mrs. Farmer hit the floor?" Okay--so maybe it's not what you would want to be remembered for--but trying to make light of a terribly annoying situation for you.
I'll say some prayers for you--that you have the stamina it's going to take to deal with them-and that they get their heads on straight and help you out.
In the meantime, hang in there and keep your chin up-
hugs=

Can you imagine the stories that my kinders would tell? One of the worst times was when I accidentally got stuck in the furniture. The boys had figured out how to tunnel through a shelving unit, and I decided that it looked fun. Well, my butt got stuck! Then, the kiddos climbed on me. I calmly asked someone to go get Mrs. Yaun, my parapro. She was washing paint brushes. She crosses her arms, and says "Now, this is a Kodak moment. @$^#&*! I tried to cover by saying that I was Winnie the Pooh stuck in the honey tree, but I do';t think they fell for at all. I received several questions over the next few weeks about that one. Boy I am glad, that most parents have good senses of humor.
The prayers helped!
Love you, but hate you for having big boobs!

Becky,
I am so sorry you are having trouble getting your test results. I will be honest with you, I went back to PB for my 2 wk follow-up and haven't been back since. I have spoke to them on the phone to coordinate my bloodwork, etc with my PCP. B/C of the distance and the fact that Dr Duncan pretty much made it clear that I should establish a relationship with my PCP for post-op care, that is what I have done. Unless I have a major WLS problem I probably won't go back there.
My PCP has been very supportive. She prescribed the B-12 for me, the meds for the constipation problems I was having and has run my blood panels. I just had her give me a copy so that I send them to PB if I need to.
I had a sever dizzy spell 3 mths ago and went to my PCP, she checked my hydration and did blood work and found that not only was my B-12 a bit low but I was right on the border of dehydration. I was drinking about 40oz of water at the time but discovered it wasn't enough. I went home and drank, drank, drank and felt much better the next day.
Big hugs to you gal!

Hey, Sweetie!!! I heard Dr. Duncan say the same thing, but they kept calling me for follow up appointments. I thought PB would dismiss me or something! I guess they just want to check me, and I do like their scales. Well, I need iron. Dr. Fields has called in a prescription for me, and says it may cause constipation!!! Oh, joy! They're also faxing all of my test results to my PCP today.
Big hugs to you too, Girlfriend!
Becky
