Dad Update-Surgery Successful!

Hi all... I have just a quick second before I take off back down to Emory... We got to the hospital at 6:30 yesterday morning, and they finally got started on his surgery around 3:00pm! I finally got to see him around 9pm...as expected he looked kinda rough, and I know today is going to be a very difficult day for him. They did a triple bypass and said he did VERY well. The only problem they had was getting the breathing tube down his throat and for that reason they have kept him sedated throughout the night, so he will not be uncomfortable. I about to leave now to go back to the hospital, but I wanted to drop you all an update and thank you all again for your support and prayers and if you don't mind, I would appreciate if you could continue. I will pray for his continued strength and for your endurance to last. I hope you are taking care of yourself through this. I'm so happy he's come through the surgery. Well, I'm glad to hear everything went well. My grandfather had that like probably 10 years ago..or more. I remember they gave him a heart shaped pillow and a marker for people to sign his "heart". It was cool. Positive thoughts and prayers your way. Jamie
