I am having surgery tomorrow at 7:30am and for the life of me I can't remember what I am supposed to bring to the hospital! Do you bring books, clothes, pajamas? I think my brain is foggy from lack of food!

Kimberly, I took books, magazines, pj's, ect....but guess what? I didn't really use them. The one thing that I wish that I would have brought was warm socks, so if you have any, bring them. Don't forget something to hold your hair back with, you won't be able to shower, and your hair can get kindy icky, and you just want it out of your face...Hope this helps, I am sure that you will get more responces from those here that have had their surgery recently. Cathy ps you will be in my prayers!!!!

Hi, Kimberly, We must have posted at the same time. The main things I needed at the hospital were basic toiletries, plus chapstick and body splash. (I have a very sensitive nose.) I had bought new pajamas and a robe, but was unable to get the IV through the arms of both, so I just wore the hospital gowns. I wore pjs home, but wished they were thicker since I did not feel like wearing a bra. Loose fitting sweats might be better. I used the hospital footies, but you may want to bring your own slippers. I was only in for a day, so I never felt like reading. I mainly walked. I remember being where you are...think "skinny." Hugs, Becky

Chapstick, chapstick and more chapstick! Also slipper socks, hair band and back scratcher. I took a nice gown and robe to wear home, plus a pillow to hold on my tummy for the ride. Good luck, Patti
