DR. BURROWES QUESTION

I have a couple of questions: 1. Does he make you lose weight before surgery.. When I went they did not saying anything about this. 2. Do the schedule your pre-op stuff for you. Like what is on the paper that they give you in the office on your apt date. example: UGI, Chest X-rays. 3. I just got approved how long does it take for the letter to get to the dr.? I called and they would not give me a surgery date until I they get the letter from the BCBS. I think that is it for now. Thanks

Brandy, 1. I did NOT have to loose weight before my surgery. I went in at 350 lbs. I don't know that he requires anyone too but it does not hurt to loose because it helps to reduce the fat that is on the liver. (Just a thought) 2. His office scheduled everything for me. They called me with the schedule and I just showed up!!! 3: My letter took about 5 days to get there - but I understand that you can have BC BS fax a copy to you and then you can fax it to is office. I didn't have to do this because his office knew I was approved before I did! You're well on your way!!!! Congrats! Keep us posted when you get your date! (it'll happen VERY soon!!!!)
