Thanks so much to your great ladies who answered my last post. I thought of another question. How long does the surgery take to complete? I have several friends and family who have asked me this and I don't know what to tell them. I am glad that the incision will only be about 3 inches. I have enough scars, but what is one more if it means a healthy body and a new life. I am so excited. How am I ever going to get through these 6 days? HUGGGSSS!! Tonya Waters

Tonya, honey...my own surgery was scheduled for 12 Noon, however they didn't come to get me and roll me into the OR until 1:30 p.m. My husband tells me that it was about 4:00 p.m. when they took me to Recovery, and about 7:00 p.m. before they took me to my room in ICU, when he and my son were able to see me. Of course, you can't really use this as a yardstick, as every hospital and/or medical staff is different. Ask your doctor, to be sure. It's good that you are inquiring about this beforehand so as to prepare your family members on what to expect. God bless you! Pat
