Open RNY - how long in hospital?

I'm confused... I keep seeing conflicting statements on various websites, and would love to know your personal experiences. For an OPEN RNY, how long was your hospital stay, with no complications??? Thanks! Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, I was in the hospital 2 nights, including the night of surgery, no pain medicine needed by day 3. Good Luck! J.

Kathy, After reading your profile, I am impressed. How long did it take you to lose from a 28 to the 4-6 size. I am currently tettering between 24-26...which I can't stand. I am not sure if I would look good that skinny but you look great. I am in the process of getting all my information and tests done, (which will be finished next week) to submit to the insurance company bcbs..the dreaded company. Would love to hear from you about how long it took. D'Lynn

D'Lynn, I had my surgery on 10/22/02, and by 9/03 I had gotten down to 150. By, 2/04 I weighed 135, and I have pretty much stayed their since. Looking back, it seems like such a short time, but at the time it seemed to go on forever. I would plateau of course, and then you start to think that it will never come off, but it does.
