So Embarrasing...

Well, I am new, and being new, strive to make a good impression. Today, however I did not do that. I went to Dr. Procter's first information meeting at which there was a special speaker who was very interesting. I get claustrophobic sometimes, but can usually cope by sitting in a clear area. In the middle of the speakers speech, I felt sick, went to the hall and promptly blacked out. Panic Attack! At least the nurse practitioner and the medical supervisor know me by name, now! Susan

Susan, don't worry about it. I'm sure it's not the first time they've seen such a thing! You're making a major life-change decision, and it's only normal to have all your senses, and fears, heightened at such a time. Be easy on yourself, take a deep breath or two, smile, and keep going. We've all been there at one time or another. Blessings to you on your journey, Cheryl

Cheryl, Thanks for the encouraging words! I wasn't expecting it, because I haven't had an attack in over two years. I wasn't nervous or anything because I really want WLS! Everyone was so nice, and after it was over it was funny! Susan

Bless you heart, Susan!!! There's been times that I wished I could "black out" during a speech. LOL I hope you are okay now!!! Having two folks who will be helping with your process already know your name will be helpful!!! Can't hurt unless you hit your head or something!!! Hugs, Becky

Susan, I know that must have been embarassing, but they are a great bunch and probably didn't think anything about it. I know they were probably very concerned. Dr. Proctor is the partner to Dr. Richards who did my surgery. They are a great group. If you need anything just yell. I will be more than happy to help. Husg, Debra =^..^=
