New Dad Update
(((((((((((((Tami)))))))))))) I am praying for God's comfort for you! (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) May He comfort you in your affliction so that you may be able to comfort your dad. I pray that your dad be brave, stout-hearted and courageous. (Ps. 27:14) I can only imagine how frightened he is...first time for surgery!!! OMGoodness!!! I know you are scared too, Sweet Lady!!! I'm a big time daddy's girl! TRY to get some sleep!!! I am also praying that you are able to lie down and sleep in peace!
LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh My Goodness--You have a lot stress going on right now, don't you??!! I will keep you in my prayers. I was thinking--if he goes home to wait for surgery, I know you'll be worried sick about him. Does he have a cordless phone? Maybe you can make sure he keeps that with him at all times-so you're just a fast push of a button away! Would he possibly come stay with you until surgery? Or you stay with him? It sounds like he's independent--so he might not like those suggestions very well, I'm sure. I hope you can work something out so you can get some rest and feel comfortable at the same time.
Lots of prayers coming your way....

I got a big kick out of this, even though I know it's not funny. Knowing you and your Dad, I can imagine this!! I called Ann W. and read it to her.
Hopefully, your Dad will stay in the hospital until his surgery, if nothing else to give you a little peace of mind. Of course, men can be so stubborn!!
Keep us posted, and know that the thoughts and prayers of many are with you and your Dad.

I am so sorry to hear this. Like I told you before, my mother had quadruple bypass surgery about a year and a half ago. It was very stressful for the whole family. However, it is a very common surgery now a days, so even though we worried, the outcome is almost always good. I agree that you need to prepare yourself before you see him after surgery. that was really scary.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep strong!
