Surgery Approval...Yeah!!!!

Thank you Ms. Becky for the congrats. I was reading some from your profile, and I too have been so embarrassed about my weight that I didn't want family members to see me. I skipped our Family reunion last July because I didn't want family members I hadn't seen in a while to see me. I also wanted to spare my parents from any sort of embarrassment. I always want them to be and feel proud of me. More and more because of my weight, I was feeling less proud of myself and I know this has shown in my demeanor as well. I know my parents would say "Kelly that's rediculous, we love you". I love them too, that's why I spared myself and my parents from even the tiniest bit of humiliation. I don't know abut anyone else, but do you ever get that "vibe" from people when they're looking at you or when you're talking to them, you can just almost hear what they're feeling?? (if she would just lose some weight) or get that "look" from others of a concern about your weight....they may not say anything, but you can just feel it. Anyway, reading your profile just sort of reminded me of that. I am just so happy now that i'm turning a corner and I feel so at ease with my decision, because I sought the Lord first. Kelly

I hear you, Girlfriend!!! Those "vibes," looks, and little helpful comments were my despair. I think what made me the angriest was that I let those "vibes" control me! I knew in my head that it didn't make sense that their acceptance would be based on my appearance, but my heart just couldn't get the message. Yay that you have confirmation about your surgery!!! Don't you wish, we always remembered to seek the Lord first??? There would be much less heartache. Love, Becky
