Surgery Approval...Yeah!!!!

Hi All, I found out today that my insurance has approved me for surgery!! (Thank you Guardian!!!) I'm scheduled for surgery February 7th. I'm Thrilled, scared, anxious, nervous....all rolled into one (and I'm smiling while I'm typing this). Any advice from all you Post-Op's?? Kelly

CONGRATULATIONS KELLY!!!! How wonderful for you!! You are VERY normal in your emotional roller coaster!! I cried on the phone when the lady told me I was approved, then I was giddy, then scared to death, the a peacefulness seemed to settle over me and my only concern was getting everything in order. Take it slow after surgery. Things may or not seem the way you thought they would be. I can only speak for my personal experience, but I behaved VERY VERY good right after surgery. I had a spell where I thought I could eat too much, cuz I wasn't getting the full feeling. Turns out your tummy nerve endings have to heal...after healing I really FELT full. We learn the fine art of patience as a a postop...however the end result is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth the patience!!!! I'm down 112 now! YEAH!! Feel free to contact me if you have any concerns! CONGRATS!!!!!!I know how you feel I felt all kind of emotions when they told me I was approved,now after 3 and a half weeks out I feel great and I have no regrets what so ever,just hang in there keep busy and you will be a looser in no time!!!!hugss Amy C.

Go, Kelly!!! Go, Kelly!!! Oh Happy Day!!! Congratulations on getting your date. Here's one tip: I wrote messages for family, and let some folks know how much they meant to me. It gave me peace of mind for the surgery. One last tip...try not to overeat TOO much before surgery. For several weeks, I ate like I would never be able to eat good food again!!! I probably gained at least five to ten pounds...was too afraid to look. I can eat most of my favorites now...but am satisfied with less!!! You'll want those few extra pounds back, especially the week after surgery!!! Promise!!! Hugs, Becky
