mY MOM IN HOSPITAL
My mom was admitted to the hospital Sunday. Many of you remember her from the christmas party. She was sick and started having trouble breathing. She put off going to the Dr until it was too late. When she got to the hospital, she was blue, and her oxygen levels were so low they admitted her. They were low seventies and high eighties.
She's been there almost a week and they still have her on 50% oxygen. They said she has chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The other Dr says she may not have emphysema, because chronic bronchitis and emphysema are alot alike, and that she may also not have diabetes because she had just eaten when they took it, and she's on steriods now, which make the blood sugar high.
All in all.. no one knwos what the hell is wrong except she can't breathe. She quit smoking about 3 days before she got sick.
Her blood sugars were in the 300's so they said she has diabetes. She's always been hypoglycemic. She looks horrible and can barely breathe. I went yesterday and she couldnt stand to take a shower, so I put a chair in the shower and washed her hair while she sat down atleast. I also took her some food because she didnt like the food at Henry.
She felt a little better but they dont even know when she can come home, or if she will be on oxygen when she does.. PLease keep my mommy in your prayers!
